The art of Foley is part of the audio post-production of every good sounding movie. Footsteps, the handling of props, movement noises or sound elements that serve as effects – all of this is created in the sound studio in sync with the moving image and individually for each scene of a film.
It is these sounds that make the auditory level come alive and tangible. They build a bridge from the visual and narrative level to the emotional perception of the audience and create a holistic experience, a new reality.
